The Center of Documentation and Studies on Saint Josemaría Escrivá de Balaguer (CEDEJ), a section of the Istituto Storico San Josemaría Escrivá (Saint Josemaría Escrivá de Balaguer Historical Institute, ISJE) which is based in Pamplona (Spain), has launched the “Josemaría Escrivá de Balaguer and Opus Dei Virtual Library”.
This open-access digital resource provides on-line access to a database containing everything that has been published about Opus Dei, its founder, prelates and faithful. At present, the Virtual Library has more than 10,000 bibliographic records.
This Virtual Library has digitized a large part of its content; this consists mainly of book extracts and journal articles. So far, almost 3,000 documents are available for download in PDF format. This material which is accessible to anyone, at anytime, anywhere, provides easy access to the information and so facilitates research.
The possibility of performing a large number of searches by author, title, publisher, year and location of publication, country, language, key words, etc. is another valuable tool for the researcher and the interested public.
