Fourth volume in the Collection of the Complete Works, contains eighteen homilies by the founder of Opus Dei together with an extensive historical-theological commentary and copious textual analysis notes. More than one hundred introductory pages are dedicated to the reconstruction of the history surrounding St. Josemaria´s first book of homilies. The homilies are placed in context and new information is made available on the activity of St. Josemaría as a writer and a preacher. At the same time, each homily has its own historical-theological introduction.
Antonio Aranda is a mathematics graduate and holds a Ph.D. in Theology. He has been Professor of Dogmatic Theology at the University of Navarre for more than twenty years and he is also visiting Professor at the Pontificia Università della Santa Croce (Rome).
