El artículo presenta la edición crítica de la Instrucción acerca del espíritu sobrenatural de la Obra de Dios (1934), el documento más antiguo de san Josemaría Escrivá sobre el Opus Dei y uno de los textos fundacionales más importantes. A partir del manuscrito autógrafo y de las principales ediciones posteriores, se reconstruye la génesis, transmisión y fijación del texto, situándolo en su contexto histórico y eclesial. La Instrucción constituye la primera exposición orgánica de la naturaleza sobrenatural, la misión y los fines del Opus Dei, y ofrece una base textual segura para futuros estudios históricos y teológico-espirituales sobre sus orígenes.

The article presents the critical edition of the Instruction on the Supernatural Spirit of the Work of God (1934), the earliest document by Saint Josemaría Escrivá concerning Opus Dei and one of its most important foundational texts. On the basis of the autograph manuscript and the main subsequent editions, the study reconstructs the genesis, transmission, and textual stabilization of the document, situating it within its historical and ecclesial context. The Instruction constitutes the first organic exposition of the supernatural nature, mission, and aims of Opus Dei, and provides a reliable textual basis for future historical and theological-spiritual studies on its origins.
