Bibliographic Enquiries
For all matters pertaining to bibliographical enquiries, the Historical Institute is supported by the Center of Documentation and Studies on Josemaria Escriva de Balaguer (CEDEJ), which has a database providing specialized bibliographical information for those researchers who request it.
As of July 1, 2008, the database had 8,365 entries, of which 2,057 were the works of St. Josemaria. Should you wish to make a bibliographical consultation then you may go directly to the CEDEJ.
Bibliographical Resources
The Institute looks after the formation of bibliographical resources on St. Josemaria Escriva de Balaguer and Opus Dei, in Rome and in Pamplona.
These resources strive to be an exhaustive collection of the works of St. Josemaria, with their translations; biographies on St. Josemaria and other faithful of the Prelature; historical, theological, canonical and sociological studies about St. Josemaria and Opus Dei, in various languages.
In Rome, the Institute cooperates with the Pontificia Università della Santa Croce, to ensure that the resources already present in the library of this university are kept up to date. Meanwhile, in Pamplona, this task is carried out by CEDEJ in collaboration with the library of the University of Navarre.
The resources in Rome consist of more than 500 books (July 1, 2008). These may be located by means of the electronic catalog of the Pontificia Università della Santa Croce.
For consultation and any other information, contact the library staff, located in Via dei Farnese 83, Rome (for more information, click here).
As of July 1, 2008, the resources in Pamplona consisted of
